HOW TO HAVE POSITIVE CONVERSATIONS AROUND BODY AND FOOD TOPICS

Conversations with Yourself:

Be enthusiastic about how amazing your body is.
Know what to love.
Value self-kindness and compassion.
Stop thinking that your worth is attached to how you look.

Conversations with Others:

Don’t participate in self-critical food or body talk.
Build others up
Spread love generously
Challenge them to be kind – tell them what you won’t tolerate / set boundaries

Conversations to Your Future Self:

I will not always struggle with food.
I am developing a beautiful relationship with my body and my body will not betray my efforts.
I am healthy, powerful and fully alive.

Question for Reflection:

What is the main conversation with yourself and / or with others that is toxic and doesn’t serve you well that you are ready to “turn in” and trash?
